Facilities and equipment of a makeup shop
Criteria for business facilities and equipment
- The following criteria for facilities and equipment shall be satisfied in advance by those who wish to report the commencement of a makeup shop business (Article 3 (1) of the Public Health Control Act and Article 2, and Subparagraph 4 (a) of Attached Table 1 of the Enforcement Regulations of the Public Health Control Act)
· Containers that separately store sterilized beauty appliances from non-sterilized ones
· Equipment that sterilizes beauty appliances such as disinfectors and UV sterilizers
· A workspace, reception area, and consultation room, etc. (Partitions may be installed to separate these areas, but if the partition installed has an entrance door, at least one-third of such door shall be transparent. However, doors to changing rooms must not be transparent.)
- In a makeup shop hidden cameras (cameras that can shoot images of another person’s body, which is capable of triggering a sexual desire or sense of shame, against that person's will; the same shall apply below) and other mechanical devices equipped with similar functions shall not be installed (Article 5 of the Public Health Control Act and Article 14 (1) of the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes).
Sanctions in case of violation
- The Mayor/Do Governor or head of a Si/Gun/Gu may order a makeup shop which has violated the criteria for business facilities and equipment to make an improvement, suspend its business, or close its business establishment (Subparagraph 1 of Article 10, and Article 11 (1) of the Public Health Control Act, and Article 17 (1), Article 19 and Attached Table 7 of the Enforcement Regulations of the Public Health Control Act).
