Multicultural Family Support Center
Tasks of the Multicultural Family Support Center- The Multicultural Family Support Center performs the following tasks (Article 12(4) of the “Multicultural Families Support Act”):
√ Provision of support programs such as education and counseling for multicultural families
√ Provision of Korean language education for immigrants by marriage, etc.
√ Provision of information on support services for multicultural families, and promotion of such services
√ Affiliation of services with institutions and organizations related to support services for multicultural families
√ Provision of job recruiting information and job placement services
√ Provision of interpretation and translation services for multicultural families
√ Prevention of domestic violence and support for victims in multicultural families
√ Other projects necessary for support of multicultural families
※ Organizations other than those established under the “Multicultural Families Support Act” are not permitted to use the name “Multicultural Family Support Center” or any other similar names. Those found to be in violation of this provision will be punished by fine of up to 3 million KRW (Article 12-3 and 17, paragraph 1 of the “Multicultural Families Support Act”).
