Single-parent families are eligible for reduction of mobile telephone service fees and electricity fees.
Reduction of mobile telephone service fees
Low-income single-parent families (If the recognized income of the family is 52% or less than the base median income) are eligible for reduction or exemption per family limited to mobile telephone services, personal portable communications services, IMT2000 services, LTE services, and IMT2020 (Subparagraph 8 of Article 2(3) of the Enforcement Decree of the Telecommunications Business Act).

Reduction of gas fees
Single-parent families are eligible for reduction of gas fees with submission of the certificate proving their status as a single-parent family. Please inquire the designated gas enterprise in your region for differing discounted rates.
Single-parent families are exempted from various fees.
Exemption from resident registration fees
Recipients of single-parent family support shall be exempted from fees when applying for viewing the resident registration card or issuing the certified copy or an abstract (Subparagraph 11 of Article 18(1) of the Enforcement Regulations of the Resident Registration Act)
Exemption from issuance fee of a certificate of seal imprint
Recipients of single-parent family support shall be exempted from the fees when applying for issuance of a certificate of seal imprint or registration for change of a seal imprint. (Subparagraph 14 of Article 19(2) of the Enforcement Decree of the Certification of Seal Imprint Act)
Exemption from issuance fee of a confirmation certificate of autograph
Recipients of single-parent family support shall be exempted from fees when they apply for issuance of a confirmation certificate of autograph or electronic confirmation of autograph (Article 14 of the Acknowledgement of Autograph Act; subparagraph 13 of Article 14(2) of the Enforcement Decree of the Acknowledgement of Autograph Act).
Exemption from notary fees
Recipients of low-income single-parent family support shall be exempted from notary fees, payment of per diem, and travel expenses (Subparagraph 2 of Article 34 of the Regulations of Notary Fees).
Exemption of fees for Fixed Date
Recipients of low-income single-parent family support shall be exempted from fees when claiming a fixed date (Article 7(2) of the Enforcement Decree of the Housing Lease Protection Act; subparagraph 9 of Article 8(3) of the Regulations of Fixed Date and Provision of Housing Lease Information).
Exemption from application fee for car inspection
Members of low-income single-parent families and grandparent-grandchildren families will be exempt from fees for the regular inspection and/or comprehensive inspection of vehicles under their name.

Single-parent families are entitled to preferential provision of child care services.
Preferential provision of child care services
Child care services are preferentially provided to children of low-income single-parent families. The foregoing shall not apply where any reasonable ground exists, such as a budgetary shortfall or insufficient supply of child care providers (Article 13-2 of the Child-Care Support Act).
Preferential provision of infant care
Principals of child-care centers established by the State, local governments, social welfare corporations, and other nonprofit corporations shall enable children of low-income Single-parent families to preferentially use child-care centers (Subparagraph 2 of Article 28(1) of the Infant Care Act; Article 21-4 of the Enforcement Decree of the Infant Care Act)
Single-parent families are entitled to employment support.
ChildcareLeave Benefits
Where mothers or fathers insured under subparagraph 1 of Article 4 of the Single-Parent Family Support Act take childcare leave, childcare leave benefits are to be provided according to each of the following case (Article 95-3(3) of the Enforcement Decree of the Employment Insurance Act).
Until 3 months after the beginning of the childcare leave: The amount of ordinary monthly wages as of the beginning date of the childcare leave (However, the maximum amount shall be KRW 2.5 million when the ordinary monthly wage exceeds KRW 2.5 million, and the minimum amount shall be KRW 700,000 when the ordinary monthly wage is less than KRW 700,000.)
4th month to the last day of the childcare leave: 80/100 of the amount of ordinary monthly wages as of the beginning date of the childcare leave (However, the maximum amount shall be KRW 1.5 million when the ordinary monthly wage exceeds KRW 1.5 million, and the minimum amount shall be KRW 700,000 when the ordinary monthly wage is less than KRW 700,000.)
Acceleration of Employment
The State or local governments shall conduct vocational ability development training in consideration of the capability, aptitude, etc. of mothers, fathers, or children of Single-parent families in order to develop their workplace skills (Article 14(1) of the Single-parent Family Support Act).
The State or local governments shall endeavor to place mothers, fathers, or children of single-parent families in proper occupations and to have them preferentially employed in various kinds of workplaces in order to accelerate their employment (Article 14(2) of the Single-parent Family Support Act).
※ Subsidies for employment promotion
An employer is entitled to receive the subsidy for employment promotion if he/she hires a person for 6 months or longer who is subject to single-parent family support, has registered with the employment security center, etc. and has been in a state of unemployment for more than 1 month (Subparagraph 3 of Article 26(1) and Article 26(2) of the Enforcement Decree of the Employment Insurance Act).
Exemption from application fees for civil service examinations
Low-income single-parent family beneficiaries shall be exempted from application fees of the tests conducted by government authorities (Article 35(3) of the Decree on the Examination of Appointment of Public Officials).

First priority right to install of stalls and service booths within public facilities
Where the head of a public facility operated by the state or a local government has permission to install various kinds of stalls and service booths within the public facility, he or she may preferentially grant such permits to Single-parent families or Single-parent family welfare organizations. (Article 15 of the Single-parent Family Support Act)
Preferential Lottery Contract
A lottery business operator shall endeavor to enter into a contract with the homeowner of low-income Single-parent families preferentially (Subparagraph 3 of Article 30 of the Lottery Tickets and Lottery Fund Act).
Single-parent families are entitled to receive culture vouchers.
Support for culture vouchers
The State and local governments may provide culture vouchers to the recipients of low-income single-parent family support. (Article 15-4(1) of the Culture and Arts Promotion Act; subparagraph 3 of Article 23-2 of the Enforcement Decree of the Culture and Arts Promotion Act)
<Support for the use of the Munhwanuri Card (culture voucher)>
The Munhwanuri Card (culture voucher) is a program that issues Munhwanuri Cards to beneficiaries of National Basic Living Security and lower-income groups to improve the quality of lives and reduce cultural gaps among social classes. The cards can be used for cultural events, domestic travel, and sports events.
Each Munhwanuri Card is issued in an amount equivalent to KRW 100,000. These cards can be used in theaters, cinemas, exhibition halls, domestic travel, sports venues (soccer, basketball, baseball, and volleyball) and in other areas of culture, art, traveling, and sports.
