Use of duty free shops
Exchange and refund
Submitting an application for exchange or refund
- If a purchaser wants to exchange purchased duty free goods or get a refund for the price paid, the purchaser should state reasons for the exchange or refund in an application form and submit it to a designated duty free shop (「Notification on Operation of Designated Duty Free Shop in Jeju Free International City」 Article 19 (1) and Annex 8).
Reason and procedure for exchange or refund
- Due to characteristics of designated duty free shops, an exchange or a refund can be made only in cases as follows (「Notification on Operation of Designated Duty Free Shop in Jeju Free International City」 Article 19 (2)):
· If an application for a refund is made or an item is not exchangeable, the record of sale is canceled.
· An item can be exchanged for another item with the same name, standards, etc.
Delivery of exchanged goods
- An exchanged item can be sent to a purchaser who revisits Jeju Special Self-governing Province or delivered when the purchaser departs from Jeju Province (「Notification on Operation of Designated Duty Free Shop in Jeju Free International City」 Article 19 (3)).
- If a purchaser who resides in Jeju Special Self-governing Province applies for an exchange, the purchased goods can be delivered to the purchaser directly (「Notification on Operation of Designated Duty Free Shop in Jeju Free International City」 Article 19 (4)).
