- The Market Surveillance Committee can recommend or propose a settlement to the parties verbally or in writing in cases deemed appropriate for amicable resolution.
- If no agreement is reached, the case is referred to the Market Surveillance Committee within 30 days from the date of receipt of the mediation application (excluding the fact-finding period).
- If a party accepts the mediation proposal notified by the Market Surveillance Committee, they must appear before the committee within 15 days from the date of receipt of the mediation proposal, prepare 3 copies of the mediation document, and finalize the mediation by affixing their signature or seal.
Effect of dispute mediation- If a party accepts the mediation proposal of the Market Surveillance Committee, it is granted the effect of a settlement contract under the Civil Act [see the Korea Exchange Surveillance Integrated Portal website-Dispute Mediation-Dispute Mediation Guide-Securities/Derivatives Trading Dispute Mediation Effect].
