Application for child care fee
- Guardian of infants and young children who intend to apply for child care fees shall submit the following documents (including electronic documents) to the Mayor of the competent Special Self-Governing City, the Governor of the Special Self-Governing Province, and the head of the Si/Gun/Gu. In such cases, when the Mayor of a Special Self-Governing City, the Governor of a Special Self-Governing Province, or the head of a Si/Gun/Gu who is not under his/her jurisdiction receives the application documents, he/she shall transfer the relevant documents without delay to the competent Special Self-Governing City Mayor, the Governor of a Special Self-Governing Province, and the head of a Si/Gun/Gu (Article 34-4 (1) of the Child Care Act and Article 35-6 (1) of the Enforcement Rules of the Child Care Act).
1. Application for child care fees (home care allowances)
2. An identification card or document verifying the identity of a person who intends to apply for child care fees (referring to a resident registration card, driver’s license, certificate of a person with a disability, passport, and other documents prescribed by the Minister of Health and Welfare)
3. Family relation certificate
- Applicants for child care support may be notified of whether they are eligible for support and details of support within 14 days of receipt of the application for child care support (The main body of Article 35-6 (3) of the Enforcement Rules of the Child Care Act).
· However, if there is a special reason, such as alien registration, which takes time to investigate, it may be notified within 30 days (Proviso to Article 35-6 (3) of the Enforcement Rules of the Child Care Act).
