- A real estate agency shall hang a brokerage office registration certificate or the certificate of a licensed real estate agent’s qualification in the office, so please check this (Article 17 of the Licensed Real Estate Agents Act and Article 10 of the Enforcement Rules of the Licensed Real Estate Agents Act).
- You can check whether the real estate agency has a guarantee insurance or mutual aid through the certificate of establishment of guarantee in the office (Article 10 of the Enforcement Rules of the Licensed Real Estate Agents Act).

Checking the real estate register
- The term “real estate register” means a book drawn up from registered information data entered and processed by a computerized information processing organization as prescribed by the Registration of Real EstateRules, including the owner, the exact area of the building, the mortgage, lease on a deposit basis, etc. (Subparagraph 1 of Article 2 of the Registration of Real Estate Act).
- The term “certificate of registered matters” is issued to check a real estate register, and anyone can obtain the certificate by visiting any registry or using an unattended certificate issuer or the Supreme Court Internet Registry (Articles 19 (1) of the Registration of Real Estate Act and Articles 26 (1), 27 (1), and 28 (1) of the Registration of Real Estate Rules).
Checking the cadastral register or a building register
- The term “cadastral register” refers to a cadastre and drawings (including those recorded or stored in an information processing system) that record the land position and owner of land based on the cadastral survey, such as the site parcels register, forest area parcels register, register of jointly owned land, site ownership register, cadastral map, forestry map, and register of boundary point coordinates (Subparagraph 19 of Article 2 of the Act on The Establishment, Management, Etc. of Spatial Data).
- The term “building registers” refers to a record that keeps the details of the status of each building and its site and information about the structural load-bearing capacity of each building (Article 38 (1) of the Building Act).
