Livestock and Livestock Product Traceability Management
What is traceability management?
- Traceability management is the management of distribution channels of livestock and livestock products through the recording and management of information at different stages of production, import, and sale of livestock and livestock products (Subparagraph 3 of Paragraph 1 of Article 2 of the Cattle and Beef Traceability Act).
Livestock and Livestock Products for Traceability Management
- Livestock for traceability management are cattle, swine, chicken, and dock (Article 2(1)-4 of the Cattle and Beef Traceability Act).
- Livestock products for traceability management are livestock products of domestic and foreign origin (Subparagraph 8 of Paragraph 1 of Article 2 of the Cattle and Beef Traceability Act).
Livestock Product Traceability System
- From the birth to the slaughter, packaging, and sale of traceability-managed livestock, information is recorded and managed to quickly address any hygiene or safety issues by tracing their history in the livestock traceability system of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
