Lease
- In a "lease", one of the parties agrees to allow the other party to use an object and take profits therefrom, and the latter agrees to pay rent for it. Generally, it includes a deposit lease (i.e., Jeonse) and a monthly lease (i.e., Wolse), which usually do not require the registration of Jeonsegwon (a right to resister Jeonse, or a deposit lease) prescribed by the Civil Act (Article 618 of the Civil Act).
- The term 'housing lease' refers to a lease in which the whole or parts of a residential building is rented. The Housing Lease Protection Act is provided especially in favor of a lessee (Article 2 of the Housing Lease Protection Act).
